Army Commander Visits Injured UNIFIL Officers at Beirut Hospital, Vows Justice for Attack

Beirut: Acting Army Commander, Major General Hassan Aoudeh, visited the Deputy Commander of the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) and another UNIFIL officer at Saint George Hospital in Beirut. The officers were hospitalized following an attack by protesters on the road to Rafic Hariri International Airport yesterday evening.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Major General Aoudeh assessed the health conditions of the injured officers and expressed his wishes for their swift recovery. During his visit, he commended the essential role UNIFIL plays in maintaining stability in southern Lebanon and reiterated the army's firm stance against any aggression towards UNIFIL personnel.

"We will work to arrest the aggressors and bring them to justice," Major General Aoudeh stated, emphasizing the army's commitment to ensuring accountability for the attack.
