Amman: Army units took decisive action to prevent demonstrators from blocking the sub-interchange on the old airport road that leads to the eastern side of the highway. Protesters attempted to use burning tires to obstruct the road, prompting the army to intervene by firing tear gas bombs.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the use of tear gas resulted in cases of suffocation among the demonstrators. Civil Defense ambulance personnel were on site to provide immediate treatment to those affected by the gas.
Following the intervention, army units successfully managed to reopen the road in both directions, restoring the flow of traffic and maintaining order in the area.
