Army Expands Deployment Amid Ongoing Tensions in South Litani Region

Beirut: The Lebanese Army has continued its strategic deployment across the South Litani region, particularly focusing on the central sector, as it addresses ongoing hostilities. Military units have been stationed in the town of Aitaroun - Bint Jbeil and other critical border areas in coordination with the five-member committee overseeing the ceasefire agreement. This action comes in response to repeated attacks by Israeli forces, which have resulted in the burning of homes in several villages, including Aitaroun - Bint Jbeil, Rab Thalatheen, and Adaisseh - Marjeyoun. Additionally, there have been two airstrikes on vehicles involved in the retrieval of fallen soldiers in Taybeh - Marjeyoun.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the Army Command has issued a call for citizens to comply with official directives and follow the instructions of the deployed military units. Citizens are advised to coordinate with local authorities to ensure their safety amidst the escalating violence. The Army Command emphasized its commitment to supporting residents of border towns and implementing Resolution 1701, alongside necessary field measures across various locations in the South Litani region.
