Army Unit Inspects Threatened Building in Yanouh Amid Ongoing Tensions

Yanouh: In an issued statement by the Lebanese Army Command's Orientation Directorate on Sunday, it was indicated that "On December 13, 2025, within the framework of coordination between the military institution, the Cessation of Hostilities Agreement Monitoring Mechanism, and the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL), the army conducted a thorough inspection of a building in the town of Yanouh with the owner's consent," adding that "the inspection revealed no weapons or ammunition inside the building."

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the statement continued, "After the army withdrew, and amidst ongoing Israeli attacks, a bomb threat was received regarding the same building. An army patrol immediately arrived and re-searched it, finding no weapons or ammunition. The patrol remained stationed around the house to prevent it from being targeted."

The Army Command expressed appreciation for the residents' trust in the military institution, as well as their support and cooperation as army personnel carried out their national duty. It also expressed its deep gratitude to the committee overseeing the cessation of hostilities agreement, which made the necessary contacts in coordination with the army leadership and played a key role in intercepting the threat attack.

The Army Command's statement continued to value the efforts and sacrifices made by military personnel in the face of challenging circumstances to preserve the safety of families and defend them.

"This incident proves more than ever that the only way to preserve stability is to unite efforts and demonstrate comprehensive national solidarity with the army, and to adhere to Resolution 1701 and the cessation of hostilities agreement, in coordination with the Mechanism and the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon - UNIFIL, at a difficult stage that requires the highest levels of awareness and responsibility," the Army statement concluded.
