Beirut: The Army Command's Orientation Directorate has issued a statement this evening, urging citizens to refrain from shooting as election results are announced. The announcement highlights concerns over public safety, especially given the sensitive situation in the regions of south Lebanon.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the statement emphasized that military units have been deployed as part of security measures for the municipal and mayoral elections in the governorates of South Lebanon and Nabatieh. These units will continue to monitor the elections until the counting process is complete and results are officially declared.
