AMMAN: Stock Exchange (ASE) concluded its trading session on Sunday with a slight increase of 0.02 percent, closing at 2,393 points.
According to Jordan News Agency, the trading day witnessed approximately 2.3 million shares being traded across 1,715 contracts, with a total trading value of around 3.3 million dinars. Despite the overall minor increase in the index, the market saw mixed results among individual companies. A total of 26 companies experienced a decline in their share prices, while 25 companies saw their share prices increase. Additionally, shares of 29 companies remained unchanged, indicating a balanced level of activity and investor sentiment within the market.
This subtle uptick in the ASE index reflects cautious optimism among investors, navigating through varying performances across different sectors. The trading volume and the number of contracts suggest a steady engagement from traders and investors, maintaining a dynamic exchange environment despite the minimal overall index change.
