Hashem Shawa, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Bank of Palestine Group, announced the provision of urgent support for the efforts made to relieve our people affected by the floods that struck sisterly Libya.
Shawa said that this support came as an initiative from the bank based on its belief in the necessity of standing by our people affected there as a result of the floods, as it will be disbursed through the Palestinian International Cooperation Agency (PICA), which leads the State of Palestine team for urgent intervention and response to the affected areas in Libya.
Hashem Al-Shawa offered his sincere condolences to the Libyan leadership, government and people, for the victims of the floods and storms that swept through eastern Libya, causing great human and material losses. He offered condolences to the Palestinian community that lost a number of its people in that tragedy, asking God Almighty to cover the victims with His vast mercy, wishing A speedy recovery for the injured and afflicted Libyans and Palestinians as a result of this great disaster, and for Libya to be able to overcome the effects of this painful natural disaster.
Shawa stressed, “The Bank’s initiative to contribute to supporting relief efforts stems from our duty as a Palestinian institution supporting the efforts of the Palestinian government, to provide humanitarian relief and urgent needs in order to relieve those affected by the floods and support our brothers in Libya in this difficult circumstance, which also reflects constructive cooperation between the public and private sectors.” On the international scene."
The Bank of Palestine took the initiative to support the efforts of the Palestinian International Cooperation Agency (PICA) in providing relief to those affected by the floods in Libya, in coordination with the Palestinian leadership and the government.
The Bank of Palestine provided a group of humanitarian donations outside the country to provide relief to those affected by earthquakes and natural disasters in a number of Arab countries and around the world, such as Syria, Turkey, Chile, and other African countries
