Manama: Shaikh Khalid bin Hmuood Al Khalifa, Governor of the Capital Governorate, visited the "Hawa Al Manama" event, accompanied by Sara Ahmed Buhiji, CEO of the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA).
According to Bahrain News Agency, during the visit, the Governor reviewed the event's cultural and tourism programmes and interactive experiences. These initiatives highlight Manama's history, social and commercial identity, offering visitors a modern experience that integrates heritage with entertainment.
Shaikh Khalid bin Hmuood emphasized the economic benefits provided by the event, noting its role in stimulating commercial activity in the Manama Souq and surrounding areas. The event supports local businesses and revitalizes Manama's historical role as a vibrant commercial and social center.
Additionally, "Hawa Al Manama" serves as a platform for young entrepreneurs and creative projects, allowing national talent to present their ideas and products. This fosters innovation, youth empowerment, and contributions to economic and cultural development.
The Governor also praised BTEA's organizational efforts and the strong visitor turnout, which he noted reflects the success of initiatives to revive the Manama Souq. This effort strengthens the city's position as a dynamic destination for both local and international visitors.
