Beirut: Chairman and Director General of Beirut Port, Marwan Naffi, on Wednesday received UK Ambassador to Lebanon, Hamish Cowell, accompanied by a delegation including field coordination head Simon Parker, Deputy Military Attach© Major Thomas Hobbs, and development adviser George Dodds-Smith. Discussions covered the port’s overall situation, with Naffi outlining ongoing operations amid current challenges and efforts to ensure continuity, improve services, and advance reforms to enhance safety and transparency.
According to National News Agency – Lebanon, Cowell toured the container terminal and scanner facilities, commending operational resilience and expressing the UK’s readiness to support the port’s development and capacity-building efforts.
