Ain El-Tineh:Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri met with Prime Minister Nawaf Salam at the Second Presidency headquarters in Ain El-Tineh to discuss a range of pressing issues facing Lebanon.
According to National news agency - Lebanon, the meeting touched upon the current political and field developments, as well as the country's social and economic challenges. The discussions also included the results of Prime Minister Salam's recent visits to the United States and his tour of Nabatieh, where several projects were initiated.
A significant focus of the talks was on finding a comprehensive solution to Lebanon's ongoing electricity crisis. Potential strategies included implementing a build-operate-transfer (BOT) system or establishing a Lebanese-international agreement to address the sector's long-term needs.
Additionally, Speaker Berri conferred with Banque du Liban Governor Karim Souaid on general developments, particularly the financial conditions in Lebanon. He also met with Salim Zeenni, President of the Association of Lebanese Industrialists, along with Rabah Jaber, to discuss issues related to the industrial sector and the association's current and future initiatives.
