BERRI BROACHES LATEST DEVELOPMENTS WITH BOU SAAB, MEETS FORMER MINISTER EL-KHAZEN

Speaker of the House, Nabih Berri, received on Wednesday at the Second presidency in Ain al-Tineh, Deputy Speaker, Elias Bou Saab. Discussions between the pair reportedly touched on the current general situation, especially the political and field developments, in addition to legislative affairs. Speaker Berri also received at Ain El-Tineh, former Minister, Wadih El-Khazen, with whom he broached the latest political developments. On emerging, Al-Khazen said that he discussed with Speaker Berri the country's latest developments, hailing the Speaker's "tremendous efforts he is making internally to achieve a balance between protecting national sovereignty and consecrating national coexistence in light of Israel's continued aggression against Lebanon.' El-Khazen concluded by saying that Speaker Berri reiterated "his full support and appreciation for the movement of the ambassadors of the Quintet Committee, and his encouragement of the National Moderation Bloc and all the good people in the country to continue their laudable efforts, hoping that all these endeavors will yield good results for the country.'
