Beirut: House Speaker Nabih Berri engaged in discussions with a French Senate delegation at the second presidency headquarters in Ain El-Tineh. The delegation included the Chairman of the Committee for Liaison and Solidarity with the Minorities in the Middle East, Etienne Blanc, Vice-President of the Senate Loc Herv©, and Vice-President of the Committee for Solidarity with Minorities. Also present at the meeting was Speaker Berri's Advisor, Dr. Mahmoud Berri.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the discussions focused on the general situation in Lebanon and the wider region, alongside the Lebanese-French bilateral relations. Speaker Berri also held a meeting with the Minister of Public Works and Transport, Fayez Rasamny, where they discussed the general situation, recent political developments, and issues related to the Ministry of Public Works.
Later, Speaker Berri met with a delegation from the Middle East Institute (MEI) in Washington, led by retired General Joseph Votel, and accompanied by Berri's Media Advisor, Ali Hamdan. This meeting addressed the developments in Lebanon and the region, as well as the implications of Israel's ongoing attacks on Lebanon and its breach of Resolution 1701 and the ceasefire agreement.
