Berri Engages with World Bank Officials and Discusses Political Developments with Former Minister

Beirut: House Speaker Nabih Berri, on Thursday, received the Regional Director of the World Bank for the Middle East, Jean-Christophe Carret, at the second presidency headquarters in Ain El Tineh. The meeting was also attended by Enrique Blanco Armas, the newly appointed Director of the World Bank's Beirut office, who paid an acquaintance visit to Speaker Berri upon assuming his new duties in the country.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the meeting provided an opportunity for Speaker Berri to review the World Bank's programmes in Lebanon. Discussions likely covered various ongoing and potential projects aimed at addressing the nation's economic challenges.

In a separate meeting, Speaker Berri engaged with former Minister Ghazi Aridi. Their discussion focused on the general situation in the country and the latest political developments, highlighting the dynamic political landscape in Lebanon.
