Beirut: Parliament Speaker, Nabih Berri, on Monday received Algeria's new ambassador to Lebanon, Khamissi Aref, on a protocol visit following the start of his diplomatic mission. The talks covered the latest developments in Lebanon and the region, as well as bilateral relations between the two countries.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Berri also met Ogero Director General Ahmad Bassam Oweidat, who briefed him on the state of the telecommunications authority, its current work program, and the impact of the Israeli offensive on Lebanon's telecommunications sector.
