Beirut: House Speaker, Nabih Berri, is currently meeting in Ain al-Tineh with a large delegation from the World Bank’s Board of Directors, comprising 11 executive directors from the WB, in the presence of the World Bank Group (WBG) Executive Director, Abdulaziz Al Mulla, the World Bank Regional Director Jean-Christophe Carret, and the Director of the World Bank’s Beirut office, Enrique Blanco Armas.
According to National News Agency – Lebanon, the meeting is part of ongoing discussions between Lebanon and the World Bank to explore potential cooperation and support. The delegation’s visit underscores the World Bank’s continued involvement and interest in the region, highlighting the importance of collaboration between international financial institutions and local governance.
The discussions are expected to cover several areas of mutual interest, focusing on strategies and projects that could benefit from the World Bank’s expertise and support. The presence of key figures from the World Bank signifies the potential for new initiatives and partnerships aimed at fostering economic development and stability in Lebanon.
