Bisat: Lebanon’s Food Situation ‘Relatively Stable’ Amid Crisis

Beirut: Economy and Trade Minister, Amer Bisat, on Thursday said Lebanon's food situation remains "relatively stable," with efforts focused on maintaining adequate stock levels and ensuring regular supply deliveries.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Bisat noted that wheat reserves are sufficient for about 45 days in mills and five days in bakeries, while food supplies can cover around one month on store shelves and roughly three months in warehouses.

Moreover, the Economy Minister added that ships carrying fuel and food products continue to arrive at Beirut Port. The ministry, he said, is addressing price increases and potential monopolies through stricter inspections, greater price transparency, and ongoing coordination with importers and retailers.
