Beirut: Minister of Economy and Trade Amer Bisat received a Ukrainian delegation headed by Deputy Economy Minister Ihor Bezkaravainyi during an official visit to Lebanon. Discussions focused on strengthening bilateral relations and expanding economic cooperation between the two countries.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, both sides agreed to pursue key initiatives, including negotiations toward a free trade agreement. This agreement aims to facilitate trade by reducing tariffs and other barriers, thereby enhancing economic exchanges between Lebanon and Ukraine.
Another significant outcome of the meeting was the decision to establish a joint official committee. This committee will be tasked with examining bilateral economic ties across various sectors. Its formation is seen as a step toward institutionalizing cooperation and ensuring consistent dialogue between the two nations.
In addition, specific projects were identified for immediate focus. These include silo construction and investment in an agricultural center in Lebanon. These projects are expected to boost agricultural productivity and storage capacity, contributing to the economic growth of both countries.
