Manama: The Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA) has announced the extension of the Hawa Al Manama festival for an additional two days. This decision comes in response to the strong turnout the event has experienced since its launch and requests from participants and traders at Manama Souq for an extended duration.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the event will now welcome visitors on Friday, January 16, and Saturday, January 17, from 5:00 pm until 12:00 midnight. The festival has been attracting high attendance from citizens, residents, and visitors, generating positive interaction through the diverse tourism experiences it offers.
Hawa Al Manama features a range of innovative experiences inspired by the period spanning the 1960s to the 1990s, a time of significant cultural and economic changes. The festival includes cultural and heritage activities that reflect the authenticity of the location and the nature of its associated experiences. These activities include specialised performances, historical exhibitions, and experiences that revive details of daily life in the souq over the past decades. Additionally, there are interactive spaces dedicated to families and visitors of all age groups.
