Beirut: Prime Minister Nawaf Salam chaired the daily ministerial meeting at the Grand Serail on Wednesday, focusing on military, security, and humanitarian developments in South Lebanon. The meeting emphasized addressing displacement and the urgent need for relief.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Information Minister Paul Morcos stated that the discussions centered on maintaining communication with besieged or occupied areas to ensure the delivery of essential services and garner international support.
Interior Minister Ahmad Al-Hajjar confirmed that security forces remain active in frontline villages, ensuring stability and safety in these vulnerable regions.
Defense Minister Michel Menassa provided an update on the casualties, reporting 1,268 deaths and 3,750 injuries resulting from Israeli attacks. He highlighted the strategic redeployment of the army to prevent encirclement, while ministers evaluated the ongoing relief efforts to assist those affected.
