The Ministry of Social Development today held a consultative meeting on “Discussing the Country Profile Report on Employment Policies for Persons with Disabilities in the Sultanate of Oman.”
The meeting was held in cooperation with the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA). Oman was represented at the meeting by the Directorate General for Persons with Disabilities.
The meeting was aimed at highlighting the efforts made to empower persons with disabilities and to introduce the legislative and legal frameworks and systems applied by the authorities concerned in providing employment for this segment of society.
The meeting also sought to finalize the country profile report, as well as the project of the ESCWA and the International Labour Organization.
