Beirut: Former Telecommunications Minister Johnny Corm has categorically denied allegations that he issued licenses to the Waves company during his time in office. The denial comes in response to a recent article published by Al-Akhbar newspaper on March 25, 2025.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Corm stated that no licenses were granted to any internet or information service providers while he served as Minister of Telecommunications. He clarified that no equipment capable of utilizing the frequency bands for mobile services was introduced, and no decisions were made to grant rights or privileges outside the established legal and administrative frameworks.
