The total number of patients who received medical treatment at the state’s expense abroad and inside the country increased by 33.2% in the current fiscal year compared to previous fiscal year, the Health Ministry said.
The cost of treatment at state expense stood at EGP 16.828 billion in the 2022-2023 FY, Health Ministry Spokesman Hossam Abdel Ghaffar said.
The number of beneficiaries of decisions for treatment at state expense reached 2.192 million during the 2022-2023 FY.
