Beirut: Grand Mufti of the Republic, Sheikh Abdel Latif Derian, on Wednesday received former interior minister Nohad Machnouk at Dar al-Fatwa, where Machnouk stressed the importance of the mufti's role during Lebanon's current crisis.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Machnouk praised Derian's efforts to strengthen national unity, bridge divisions among political forces, and ease tensions to restore normal relations in the interest of Lebanon and its people. He also expressed confidence in the mufti's wisdom and ongoing efforts to promote reconciliation and stability.
