After welcoming the guests, Al-Maharieq talked about the company’s establishment and its specialized work in raising turkey birds and selling their meat in the national market, in addition to exporting it abroad. He pointed out that Al-Maharieq Company is considered one of the most modern companies in raising turkey birds in the region, as it owns huge farms for raising turkeys, in addition to The company's slaughterhouse is the most advanced in the region, drawing attention to the fact that the breeding and production processes are fully monitored by the veterinary and the Ministry of Agriculture, in addition to the company's resident veterinarian. He stressed that Al-Mahareeq Investment Company is committed to all Palestinian laws, and it holds the ISO 22000 certificate and the Palestinian PS certificate from the Palestinian Standards and Metrology Organization.

During his speech, Al-Mahareeq pointed to the strategic and development plans that his company is working on, which would employ more manpower, as today more than 50 employees work directly in the company, and dozens of employees benefit indirectly from the company’s work.

He stressed the complementary relationship between the relevant ministries and government departments with the agricultural sector, especially bird breeders, pointing out the importance of combating the smuggling of turkey meat and birds into the national market without entry permits from the competent authorities, which reaches the consumer without health oversight because its source is not known.

Hassouna spoke about the importance of white turkey meat, which constitutes an essential input for many types of foods that are in high demand. It also constitutes the basic raw materials for some food factories in Palestine, and is considered one of the commodities that fall within the food security list, as citizens of all segments accept it. He praised Al-Mahariq's boldness in opening his company in the town of Al-Samou', and the company's ownership of large farms for raising turkey, in addition to his future plans for development, and Al-Mahariq Company's ownership of some other economic projects, with the aim of ensuring food security and its easy flow to the Palestinian market, and exporting it abroad.

The economic advisor, Hassouna, said: “We, as a private sector, are proud of Al-Mahareeq Company, the Chairman of its Board of Directors, and all the employees for their steadfastness and their challenge to all the difficulties they faced. For his part, Khalayleh spoke about the role of Al-Mahareeq Company in the community development of the town of Al-Samou and its direct role in bringing investors to open projects in the town, stressing that the municipality of Al-Samou is putting all its capabilities in front of investors and those looking for investment opportunities.
