MUSCAT: Due to adverse weather conditions, distance learning will be implemented tomorrow, 16 October 2024, across various educational institutions in several governorates of Oman. According to Oman News Agency, the decision affects all higher education institutions as well as government and private schools in the governorates of Muscat, North A"Sharqiyah, South A"Sharqiyah, A"Dakhiliyah, and both South and North Al Batinah. Additionally, mountainous areas in Al Buraimi and Al Dhahirah are also included in this directive. This measure has been taken to ensure the safety and well-being of students and faculty alike amidst the ongoing weather disruptions. The authorities have advised residents in the affected areas to stay updated through official channels as the situation develops. Schools and colleges have been instructed to ensure that their distance learning systems are fully operational to minimize disruption to educational activities.
