Salam's visit underscored the need for solidarity among all sects and political affiliations as a means to rescue the nation and capitalize on opportunities for national cohesion. According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Salam expressed his support for Speaker Nabih Berri's initiative to convene a presidential election session on January 9. He described this move as a pivotal step toward reestablishing state order. The Economy Minister highlighted the pressing need for electing a new president, which he believes is essential for regaining international trust and securing Lebanon's strategic role in regional reconstruction and negotiations.
