Beirut: The Ministry of Education and Higher Education announced the closure of all public and private schools, as well as vocational and technical institutions, on Monday in light of the ongoing security situation and continued attacks affecting several regions.
According to National News Agency – Lebanon, the decision was taken to safeguard students and educational staff, with the ministry confirming that developments will be assessed daily in coordination with relevant authorities to determine further measures.
The ministry also placed a number of previously designated public schools at the disposal of the national response plan to host displaced families and provide adequate shelter, reaffirming solidarity with affected communities and calling for cooperation to ensure safety during this critical period.
