Egyptian Ambassador to La Paz Hatem el Nashar discussed on Saturday with Bolivia's Minister of Productive Development and Tourism Néstor Huanca ways to enhance cooperation in tourism and archaeological domains within the coming period. In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates said Nashar discussed boosting tourism, investing in tourist site infrastructure, and hosting temporary exhibits of Egyptian replicas in Latin America, especially Bolivia, to promote Egyptian culture. For his part, the Bolivian minister praised the strong and close ties between Egypt and Bolivia and expressed appreciation for Egypt's comprehensive development and major projects that could boost tourism. He welcomed cooperation with Egypt on the proposed tourism and archaeological initiatives. The two sides discussed plans to boost tourism through joint campaigns and trips to Egypt, and considered future agreements on protecting cultural heritage, combating illegal artifact trade, and enhanc ing cooperation on archaeology and museums.
