Cairo: Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty issued a stern warning against Israeli attempts to cease the operations of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) in the Gaza Strip. According to Kuwait News Agency, the warning came during a telephone conversation between Abdelatty and his German counterpart, Annalena Baerbock. The ministers discussed various regional crises, with a significant focus on the situation in Gaza. Abdelatty expressed serious concerns over the Israeli announcement regarding the confiscation of land currently used as UNRWA's headquarters, intending to transform it into new territory under occupation. He condemned these actions as an escalation in the conflict. The Egyptian Foreign Minister also stressed the critical need for a ceasefire in Lebanon and the implementation of National Security Council Resolution No. 1701 to stabilize the region. Furthermore, Abdelatty highlighted Egypt's firm rejection of any violations by the Israeli occupation forces and underlined the urgency of dispatching humanitarian and relief aid to Lebanon to alleviate the crisis there.
