Embassy of Pakistan in Beirut Hosts Webinar on ‘Kashmir Black Day’

Beirut: In a move to observe 'Kashmir Black Day' and express solidarity with the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), the Embassy of Pakistan in Beirut held a webinar on 27th October 2025.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, notable figures from academia, think tanks, and media participated in the event. They discussed the hardships faced by the Kashmiri population, the actions of Indian forces in IIOJK, and the violations of human rights occurring in the area. The speakers emphasized the urgency for resolving the Kashmir conflict, especially following the recent military tensions between Pakistan and India earlier this year.

The webinar also focused on the role of Kashmiri youth in opposing the occupation and the violations against women by Indian forces. The speakers stressed the significant responsibility of the United Nations and the international community in supporting the Kashmiri people's right to self-determination.

Ambassador Salman Athar emphasized the necessity for international intervention to curb India's state-sponsored actions in IIOJK and to uphold the Kashmiri people's rights.

The event concluded with a collective pledge of support for the people of IIOJK and a demand for an end to India's policies and human rights abuses, which have escalated in recent years.
