Doha: Minister of Information Dr. Paul Morcos concluded a two-day official visit to Qatar, during which he met with Sheikh Hamad bin Thamer Al Thani, President of the Qatar Media Corporation, in the presence of Sheikh Khalid bin Abdulaziz bin Jassim Al Thani, the Corporation's CEO, and Abdullah Ghanem Al-Muhannadi, Director of International Cooperation and Agreements.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, talks focused on expanding media collaboration between Lebanon and Qatar, including co-production, capacity building, and support for Lebanese media institutions. This visit underscores a commitment to building stronger ties and sharing expertise between media organizations in both countries.
During his visit, Morcos also toured major Qatari media organizations. At Qatar TV, he met with its Director Ali Saleh Bader Al-Sada, and at Al Jazeera Media Network, he had the opportunity to observe newsroom and studio operations. These visits highlighted Qatar's advanced media infrastructure and opened discussions for potential future collaborations.
At the conclusion of his visit, Qatari officials commended the professionalism of Lebanese media professionals working in Qatar. Minister Morcos expressed deep appreciation for the warm hospitality, emphasizing the importance of ongoing coordination between both countries to enhance joint media initiatives and mutual support. This visit marks a significant step towards strengthening the media partnership between Lebanon and Qatar, paving the way for future projects and collaborations.
