Egyptian Environment Minister Yasmine Fouad has discussed with Colombia's Ambassador to Egypt Ana Milena Muñoz de Gaviria ways to foster bilateral co-operation between Cairo and Bogotá. The diplomat said her country is keen to ensure Egypt's participation at the 2024 United Nations Biodiversity Conference (CBD COP16) and benefit from Fouad's experience in this field. The minister voiced Egypt's support for Colombia on hosting the COP16, highlighting the importance of the conference to discuss several environment-linked issues. Both sides also reviewed means to benefit from Egypt's experience on different environmental issues, particularly pollution of air and water. Source: State Information Service Egypt
