Erdogan Criticizes Israel’s Actions in Syria as Threat to Peace

Ankara: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan launched a sharp attack on Israel during his return flight from Turkish Cyprus today, describing its policies as a "threat to peace."

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Erdogan explained in his press statements that "Israel's actions in Syria represent a threat to peace," asserting that "the last thing Israel wants is stability and calm. Rather, it benefits from bloodshed and chaos."

He further stated that Israel, which does not hesitate to ignite wars in the region, is disturbed by Turkey's strength in the region. He emphasized that Turkey will not allow Syria to be dragged into new conflicts and called for collective efforts to build a new Syria based on unity and territorial sovereignty.

Erdogan concluded by saying that Ankara is closely monitoring "any potential moves Israel may take or plan against Turkey."
