Chongqing: Director General of the Ministry of Information, Dr. Hassan Falha, represented Lebanon at the 7th China-Arab Radio and Television Cooperation Forum held in Chongqing, China, accompanied by Mohammad Melly, head of the Foreign Correspondents' Press Room at the ministry.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, in his address, Falha expressed appreciation to the organizers and to the People's Republic of China for their hospitality, describing Lebanon as a country distinguished by its freedom and rich cultural diversity. He emphasized that the meeting constitutes a key step in deepening Arab-Chinese cooperation, rebuilding the Silk Road as a bridge between two of the world's richest civilizations.
Falha hailed China as a global power contributing to balance and multipolarity and praised its steadfast support for Arab causes, particularly the Palestinian issue, condemning the ongoing Israeli aggression against Gaza, the West Bank, Jerusalem, and Lebanon.
Falha further stressed the need to build joint media infrastructures and knowledge platforms based on clear strategic visions, particularly in the era of artificial intelligence and rapid digital transformation. Falha noted that 97% of the world's population has mobile coverage, and 64% use at least one social or media platform, a reminder that cooperation between public and private sectors is essential.
