Beirut: Finance Minister Yassin Jaber met with UN Special Coordinator for Lebanon Jeanine Hennis-Plasschaert at his office in the ministry on Monday. The meeting focused on the current circumstances in Lebanon and the country's reform initiatives.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Minister Jaber emphasized the need for international support, particularly for individuals impacted by conflict, as a crucial factor in achieving long-term stability in Lebanon. The discussions covered the situation in the south of the country and the measures being taken to enforce UN Resolution 1701.
Additionally, the meeting highlighted the ongoing collaborative efforts between Lebanon and the United Nations across various sectors. The dialogue also addressed the reforms that the Lebanese government, alongside the Ministry of Finance, is striving to implement.
