Beirut: Finance Minister Yassin Jaber engaged in significant meetings on Thursday, including a congratulatory visit from British Ambassador to Lebanon, Hamish Cowell.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Ambassador Cowell expressed optimism regarding Lebanon's future during his visit to Minister Jaber's office. The ambassador conveyed his hopes for fostering robust bilateral relations between the UK and Lebanon. Discussions during the meeting focused on enhancing trade exchanges between the two countries.
In a separate meeting, Minister Jaber conferred with Minister of Administrative Development Fadi Makki. Their discussions centered on potential cooperation in areas such as training and mechanization, aiming to improve administrative efficiency and development within their respective ministries.
Additionally, Minister Jaber met with MP Ibrahim Kanaan, head of the Parliamentary Finance and Budget Committee. MP Kanaan emphasized the importance of strengthening collaboration between the committee and the finance ministry to bolster support for Lebanon's reform agenda.
The series of meetings concluded with a visit from MP Michel Moussa, Head of the Parliamentary Human Rights Committee, highlighting Minister Jaber's active engagement with key government figures to address pressing national issues.
