Sayyid Badr Hamad Al Busaidi, Foreign Minister met here today with Zbigniew Rau, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland.
The meeting, held in the headquarters of Oman’s permanent mission to the United Nations (UN), comes on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly, which is held in New York.
Sayyid Badr underscored the two countries keenness to enhance the existing relations and cooperation in various fields of interest.
The two sides also exchanged views on various regional and international matters of mutual interest.
Moreover, Sayyid Badr also met here today with Geir Pedersen, UN Special Envoy for Syria.
During this meeting, the two sides exchanged views on efforts exerted to reach consensus regarding the Syrian crisis and to achieve aspirations of the people of Syria.
Further, the Foreign Minister met here today with Zambry Abdul Kadir, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Malaysia.
The two ministers reviewed the relations and cooperation between the two countries and means of enhancing them in various fields. They also touched on developments on the regional and international arenas.
Meanwhile, Sayyid Badr Hamad Al Busaidi, Foreign Minister met with Fuad Hussein, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Iraq.
During this meeting, the two sides exchanged views on regional matters. They also highlighted priorities in the international sphere.
The two sides underlined the importance of committing to international law and the UN charter and maintaining the sovereignty and independence of countries in support of peace and stability regionally and internationally. They also expressed their keenness to develop bilateral cooperation.
Moreover, the meetings were attended by Dr. Mohammed Awad Al Hassan, Oman’s Permanent Representative to the UN and several officials from both sides
