Beirut: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed that Minister Youssef Raji signed the appointment decrees for ambassadors to Cyprus, Japan, and Gabon, and that the decrees followed proper legal procedures. However, a concerned authority returned them twice, citing non-compliance with Civil Service Board observations, which the Ministry addressed each time.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the statement also noted that Lebanon's State Council issued a ruling in favor of Counselor Jan Mourad, annulling her 2023 recall from her post in New York under former Minister Abdallah Bou Habib.
The Ministry is currently reviewing the legal, administrative, and financial implications of the ruling and the possibility of Mourad remaining abroad.
