Beirut: During the inauguration of a street named after late Prime Minister Salim El-Hoss in Beirut's Aisha Bakkar area, Prime Minister Nawaf Salam described the event as 'a moment of loyalty to a man who firmly believed in state institutions.'
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Salam paid tribute to Hoss's legacy of integrity, commitment to public service, and defense of constitutional principles, emphasizing his role as a symbol of ethical governance in Lebanon's modern political history. "He was a man who worked to fight corruption and reform the country, and his constant motto was a just and honest state," Salam added.
Referring to today's "Salvation and Reform Government," which he heads, Salam said it is working "to build a just and strong state."
At the regional level, he said, "Beirut is known for its long history of supporting Palestine and all Arab causes, and PM Hoss was at the forefront of those who struggled and supported the Palestinian cause. We are all working from our positions to support Palestine and Arab causes."
Finally, Salam prayed for mercy upon the soul of the late PM Hoss and protection for Lebanon from any harm.
