Zgharta: MP Tony Frangieh on Sunday praised the municipal and mayoral elections in Zgharta as 'a fully democratic process,' noting high voter turnout despite the absence of real competition.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Frangieh, speaking after casting his ballot, emphasized that 'the real challenge begins tomorrow,' and called on voters to support candidates who serve development goals. He criticized political opponents for campaigning on development while failing to deliver results, despite substantial funding. Frangieh urged all parties to prioritize Zgharta and Lebanon's collective interest, adding: 'Enough with political egos; what unites us is greater than what divides us.'
