Gaza City: At least 50 more Palestinians were killed in Israeli airstrikes in Gaza in the last 24 hours, bringing the death toll from Israel's actions since October 2023 to 51,355, the Health Ministry reported on Thursday.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, a ministry statement indicated that 152 additional injured individuals were transferred to hospitals, increasing the total number of injuries to 117,248 amid the ongoing Israeli military operations. The statement highlighted that many victims remain trapped under debris and on roads, with rescuers unable to reach them.
The Israeli military resumed its offensive on the Gaza Strip on March 18, resulting in nearly 2,000 deaths and over 5,200 injuries, disrupting a ceasefire and prisoner exchange agreement established in January.
In a related development, the International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants last November for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for alleged war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza. Additionally, Israel faces a genocide case at the International Court of Justice regarding its actions in the enclave.
