Maarab: Lebanese Forces' leader, Samir Geagea, met Wednesday at his Maarab residence with a delegation of municipalities from southern towns to discuss the needs and affairs of the southern region.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the delegation included municipal heads from the villages of Rmeish, Ain Ebel, Debel, Kawkaba, Deir Mimas, and Alma, along with representatives from the municipalities of Jdaidet Marjayoun and Rashaya al-Foukhar. Also present were the mayors of Ebel El-Saqi, Qlayaa, Boueida, Abou Kamha, Hasbaya, Qouzah, and Rashaya al-Foukhar.
Rmeish municipal head, Milad al-Alam, explained the purpose of the visit was to express gratitude to Geagea for his attention to the border towns' situation throughout the 14-month war. Al-Alam further stated that they had informed Geagea of the locals' stance against accepting aid or compensation from any source other than the Lebanese state and official entities.
