Baku:Loyalty to the Resistance bloc MP Hussein Haj Hassan has issued a warning to Lebanese authorities against succumbing to pressure from the United States, which he claims poses a threat to Lebanon's sovereignty and security.
According to National news agency - Lebanon, Haj Hassan spoke at a memorial ceremony where he criticized the government's decisions regarding Hezbollah's weapons. He cautioned authorities against actions that could escalate internal tensions.
He further accused the United States of meddling in Lebanon’s judiciary and legislative matters, highlighting communications between US Secretary of State Marco Rubio and President Joseph Aoun, as well as alleged efforts by the US ambassador to repeal Lebanon's Israel boycott law. Additionally, Haj Hassan claimed that the Lebanese government has deviated from previous agreements concerning Hezbollah and its arsenal.
