Beirut: Interior and Municipalities Minister, Ahmad Al-Hajjar, arrived Saturday in Kuwait on an official visit at the invitation of First Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister Sheikh Fahad Yusuf Saud Al-Sabah, who received him at Kuwait International Airport. Also present at the airport were Lebanese Ambassador to Kuwait, Ghadi Khoury, and Deputy Head of Mission, Consul Mia Al-Adham.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Hajjar highlighted the depth of Lebanese-Kuwaiti relations upon arrival, stressing that Lebanon "has always been and remains at the heart of the Arab fold" and stands by Arab countries that have consistently supported it. He expressed Lebanon's keenness to strengthen joint cooperation and coordination across various fields.
The Interior Minister is accompanied on his visit by the Director General of the Internal Security Forces, Major General Raed Abdallah, the Director General of General Security, Major General Hassan Choucair, and Acting Director General of Civil Status, Rodina Mar'ab.
During the visit, Minister Hajjar is expected to hold meetings with Kuwaiti officials to discuss ways to enhance Lebanese-Kuwaiti bilateral cooperation.
Hajjar will also launch, from the Lebanese Embassy in Kuwait, a biometric fingerprinting service for the first time outside Lebanon for the issuance of biometric passports.
