Hajjar: Lebanon Assumes Arab Interior Ministers Council Presidency Amid Critical Phase

Brussels: Interior Minister, Ahmad Al-Hajjar, on Wednesday said Lebanon is assuming the presidency of the Arab Interior Ministers Council at a "critical and pivotal stage," calling for enhanced coordination and integration among Arab states. Hajjar condemned ongoing attacks and security challenges facing several Arab countries, stressing rejection of any threats to sovereignty, stability and civil peace, including terrorist or destabilizing activities.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Hajjar said Lebanon is facing destructive Israeli attacks in a war imposed on it, affirming its right to defend its land and people. The Minister also called for Arab and international support to end the war and occupation, while backing the government's policy to extend state authority across all Lebanese territory.
