Health Minister Visits Mufti of Tripoli: For Enhancing Health Cooperation to Serve People of the North

Tripoli: Mufti of Tripoli and the North, Sheikh Mohammed Imam, received today Public Health Minister Rakan Nassereddine, at the head of a delegation of ministry officials. Discussions touched on a number of important health issues and the current health sector conditions in Tripoli and the North.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Minister Nassereddine stated that Tripoli is a significant city with symbolic importance in the country, requiring substantial state care. The purpose of the visit to the Mufti was to seek his blessing for their presence in Tripoli. The minister highlighted that their field tour of primary healthcare centers and government hospitals aims to assess the state of health services, emphasizing the need to support government hospitals, which will be the focus of the visit and future initiatives.

Mufti Imam welcomed Minister Nassereddine, acknowledging his achievements in the health sector, which have a direct impact on people's lives. He also praised the important steps initiated by former Health Minister Firas Abiad and stressed the ongoing work in the sector that helps alleviate citizens' suffering. The Mufti called for integrated efforts and cooperation among all parties for the good of the nation and its preservation. He concluded by expressing confidence in the effective work of Minister Nassereddine in the field of health.
