BRUSSELS: On behalf of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, HH Sayyid Asa'ad bin Tarik al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for International Relations and Cooperation Affairs and Personal Representative of His Majesty the Sultan, arrived in the Kingdom of Belgium to lead the Sultanate of Oman's delegation at the inaugural GCC-EU joint summit. According to Oman News Agency, upon his arrival at Brussels Airport, HH Sayyid Asa'ad and his accompanying delegation were welcomed by Josep Borrell, High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice-President of the European Commission. The greeting party also included Jasem Mohammed Al Budaiwi, Secretary General of the GCC, and Ru'aa Issa Al Zadjali, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the Kingdom of Belgium and Head of Oman's Mission to the EU, along with members of the Omani embassy in Belgium. HH Sayyid Asa'ad's delegation is comprised of several key ministers and undersecretaries, highlighting the significance of the summit and the topics expected to be discussed, which include enhancing bilateral relations and cooperation between GCC countries and the European Union.
