Businessman Awadallah Awad, member of the Board of Directors of Hilal Al-Quds Club, visited the headquarters of the Maltese Club Valletta during a business trip to Malta. Engineer Awad met with the owner of the Malta Valletta Football Club, Mr. Alexander Vinnik, in the presence of the Palestinian Ambassador to the State of Malta, Mr. Fadi Hanania. Awad was briefed on Valletta Club's facilities, the club's sporting history and its championship treasures. Alexander Vinik, President of the Maltese Club Valletta, explained the emergence of the club, which carries the slogan 'We are Palestine' to support the Palestinian cause, and which won the Maltese League Championship 25 times, the Cup 14 times, and the Maltese Super Cup 13 times. Vinik explained that Valletta FC participated in the European Champions League and the European League during the previous two seasons. Finnick stated that the club includes a group of playgrounds for children and youth, a football academy, in addition to tennis and padel cour ts. During the conversation, it was agreed between Engineer Awwad and Mr. Finnick to hold a sports twinning contract between Hilal Al-Quds Club and the Maltese Club Valletta, to hold a friendly football match between the two teams, and to sign a distinguished strategic partnership next November. In turn, Ambassador Fadi Hanayna, the Palestinian Ambassador to the State of Malta, praised this visit and the agreement that will take place during next November. Ambassador Hanina prepared to arrange all logistical measures to make these agreements a success, which strengthen the sports and national relationship between Palestine and Malta. For his part, lawyer Diaa Al-Shwaiki, President of Hilal Al-Quds Club, presented the great and fruitful efforts made by Engineer Awadallah Awad, along with his colleagues in the club's International Relations Committee. Al-Shwaiki confirmed that these meetings and agreements come within the vision of the club's board of directors to strengthen international relations and dev elop the club to the global level.
