Beirut: Minister of Youth and Sports Nora Bayrakdarian met with Indian Ambassador Muhammad Noor Rahman Sheikh in her office, where he extended his congratulations and best wishes for her new role. Their discussions centered around potential collaborations between India and Lebanon, particularly in leveraging Indian expertise for upcoming mechanization projects planned by the ministry.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Minister Bayrakdarian informed the ambassador about the current state of Lebanese sports facilities that have suffered damage due to Israeli aggression. She highlighted the need for support in rehabilitating and restoring these facilities and expressed hope for India's assistance.
Ambassador Sheikh assured Minister Bayrakdarian that India is committed to supporting Lebanon in this endeavor. He promised that actions would commence promptly after the completion of a study being coordinated between the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Council of the South. This study aims to establish an executive framework to facilitate the rehabilitation process.
