Indonesia Says President Prabowo Subianto Ready to Facilitate US-Iran Dialogue

Beirut: Indonesia's foreign ministry has announced that President Prabowo Subianto is prepared to mediate discussions between Washington and Tehran. This development follows recent military strikes by the US and Israel against Iran.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the foreign ministry expressed deep regret over the collapse of negotiations between the US and Iran, which has led to increased military tension in the Middle East. The ministry urged all involved parties to exercise restraint and to prioritize dialogue and diplomacy as means to resolve the conflict.

The statement emphasized Indonesia's commitment to fostering peace, noting the government's readiness to facilitate dialogue aimed at re-establishing security in the region. The foreign ministry further indicated that if both parties agree, President Prabowo Subianto is willing to travel to Tehran to mediate the discussions. The statement highlighted the potential risks that ongoing tensions could pose to regional and global peace and security.
